About ICBS 2025

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BORNEO SUSTAINABILITY 2025

As one of the activities between the Consortium of Universities of Borneo (KUUB) through Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), namely: International Conference on Borneo Sustainability 2025 (ICBS 2025)will take place for four days from 9 to 12 Sept 2025, aiming to provide a strategic academic platform, bringing together researchers, academia, and industry in an effort to strengthen global sustainability through innovation in science & technology, arts and social sciences, and medicine & natural sciences. This conference serves as a catalyst for collaboration between universities in Borneo and KUUB members, especially UMS, emphasizing innovative solutions to increasingly complex global challenges.

CONFERENCE SCOPE

International Conference on Borneo Sustainability 2025 (ICBS2025) proposed by Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) under theKonsortium Universiti Universitas Borneo (KUUB), aims to provide a strategic platform for researchers, academics, and industry leaders to drive sustainability through innovation in:Science & Technology, Arts & Social and Medical & Natural Science.

    The role of ICT in promoting sustainable development and improving quality of life.

    • Designing and developing resilient and long-lasting infrastructure.

    The role of arts and culture in raising awareness of sustainability issues.

    • Strategies to empower local communities through arts and social initiatives.

    • Analysis of public policies and governance structures that support sustainable development.
